EarthServe is dedicated to finding alternative solutions to meet our worlds growing energy needs and will award small research grants, up to $10,000.00, to individuals performing research in alternative energies. The purpose of these research grants is to enable new and innovative ideas to incubate into full-blown methodologies that will help balance our planet’s energy requirements. All proposals received as applications for EarthServe Alternative Energy, (EAE), will be carefully reviewed and evaluated by a scientist or engineer serving as an EarthServe representative and usually by two to three additional persons, independent of EarthServe, who are experts in the particular fields addressed by the proposal. All EAE proposals will be evaluated for merit based on the criteria outlined below:
- Will the proposed activity advance the knowledge and understanding in Alternative Energy?
- How well qualified is the individual researcher to conduct the project?
- To what extent is the proposed activity new, creative and contain original concepts?
- How well conceived and organized is the proposed activity?
- Is there sufficient access to resources?
Earthserve will receive donations through a Paypal web portal designated for EarthServe Alternative Energy, (EAE). EarthServe will accrue those funds in an interest bearing account until appropriate grant recipients are selected. Upon acceptance of the grant the recipient will convey to EarthServe partial interest/ownership rights in any subsequent invention per the individual grant agreement. Additionally, the grant recipient agrees to provide EarthServe with final technical and accounting reports detailing the research and use of the grant monies. All invention interest/ownership rights will be held by EarthServe, Inc. with any and all royalties or proceeds generated by these rights being used by EarthServe to provide new EAE grants.
