EarthServe is committed to saving our environment and will award small research grants, up to $10,000.00, to individuals performing research in environmental studies. The purpose of these research grants is to better understand man’s environmental impact on our planet. All proposals received as applications for EarthServe Environmental Studies, (EES), grants will be carefully reviewed and evaluated by a scientist or engineer serving as an EarthServe representative and usually by two to three additional persons, independent of EarthServe, who are experts in the particular fields addressed by the proposal. All EES proposals will be evaluated using the merit review criteria outlined below:
- Will the proposed activity advance the knowledge and understanding of man’s impact on the environment?
- How well qualified is the individual researcher to conduct the project?
- To what extent is the proposed activity new, creative and addresses a specific environmental issue?
- How well conceived and organized is the proposed activity?
- Is there sufficient access to resources?
Earthserve will receive donations through a Paypal web portal designated for EarthServe Environmental Studies, (EES). EarthServe will accrue those funds in an interest bearing account until appropriate grant recipients are selected. Upon acceptance of the grant the recipient will be required to provide EarthServe with final technical and accounting reports detailing the research and use of the grant monies. The final technical report will include all relevant data along with a publication ready document. All studies will be reviewed by EarthServe, published as appropriate and posted on the Internet as part of EarthServe's reference library.
